The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened their 2024 preseason with a thrilling 17-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

In his first game action in over a year, quarterback Joe Burrow led the Bengals on a touchdown drive on their opening possession. However, the Buccaneers' defense held Cincinnati scoreless for the rest of the game.

The Buccaneers' offense struggled to get going in the first half, but they came alive in the second half. Running back Leonard Fournette scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter, and quarterback Kyle Trask connected with wide receiver Mike Evans for a 15-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

The Bengals had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but kicker Evan McPherson missed a 55-yard field goal attempt.

The Buccaneers will host the Tennessee Titans in their next preseason game on August 22nd.
