British Diving Sensation To Make History In Paris

Tom Daley signs up for fifth Olympics after Team GB confirmation

British diving sensation to make history in Paris

Daley, who made his Olympic debut at Beijing 2008 aged 14, will become the first British diver to compete at five Games.

The 28-year-old, who won gold in the 10m synchro at Tokyo 2020 with Matty Lee, will be hoping to add to his Olympic medal collection in Paris this summer.

"I'm so excited to be selected for my fifth Olympic Games," said Daley. "It's an honour to represent Team GB and I'm looking forward to competing in Paris.

"I've been working hard in training and I'm confident that I can put on a good performance in Paris. I'm aiming for a medal, but I know it will be tough. There are some great divers out there, but I'm up for the challenge."

Daley will be joined in the Team GB diving team by Lee, as well as Noah Williams and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix.

The diving competition at the Paris Olympics will take place from August 6-15.
