Juventus Rescue Point After Stunning Second-Half Surge
BOLOGNA, Italy (AP) – Juventus remain in the hunt for a third-placed finish in Serie A after sensationally hitting back from 3-0 down to rescue a 3-3 draw against rivals Bologna.
In its first match since the dismissal of manager Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus found themselves 3-0 down at halftime. However, a remarkable eight-minute surge in the second half saw the Bianconeri level the scores.
The draw keeps Juventus in contention for a Champions League place, as they are now just one point behind third-placed AC Milan. Bologna, meanwhile, remain in 13th place.
Juventus had a nightmare start in Bologna and were 3-0 down at the 53rd minute. However, they fought back with three goals in eight minutes, with Dusan Vlahovic, Danilo, and Weston McKennie finding the net.
The result is a major boost for Juventus, who have now lost just once in their last 42 Serie A games against Bologna. I Rossoblu last defeated the Bianconeri in Serie A in 2011.
